Description
This is an updated version of our popular Helsinki Metropolitan VFR scenery. Large part of the scenery has been built from scratch, especially the Helsinki main city area.
A new orthophoto (from 2020) has been added.
Helsinki has changed a lot between 2016 and 2021. Now you can see the changes yourself in X-Plane!
You will find this a diverse and beautiful area, filled with cities, towns, villages, lakes, national parks, forests, etc. Thousands of objects have been hand placed on the underlying photo scenery (buildings, lights, trees, forests).
Custom lighting has been built to replace the default X-Plane lighting. This ensure very realistic experience flying in dusk/dawn and night.
Within the larger orthophoto area there is a smaller high res area with much more custom built detail. See image below:
The scenery includes the EFNU and EFMN airport as well as the EFSA airfield. Heli pilots can try the EFHY helipad and land on the Silja Serenade helipad, which is located in the city harbor. There is also a helipad at the southern end of the city (EFHE).
There is also a helipad atop the Helsinki Central fire station.
The scenery works well with the Truscenery EFHF (Malmi) airport, which you can purchase separately.
All high buildings have hard roofs and HIRes textures on the roof, so you can land on any high building in the Helsinki main area.
The Hyvinkää city area (EFHV) will be relaeased later as a free download from our website.
Flying north from the Helsinki airport (Helsinki-Vantaa lentokenttä), you will find a detailed and beautiful area around Lake Tuusula.
